Dr. Mills was part of a successful proposal to the UC Davis competition entitled Research Investment in Sciences and Engineering (RISE).

This three year RISE project, entitled "Protecting the Fragile Intestine: Integrating Microbiota and Mucosal Health" is led by Satya Dandekar (Medical Microbiology and Immunology) and includes Dr. Bruce German (FST), Mark Underwood (Pediatrics), Ralph de Vere White (Cancer center), Richard Pollard (Infectious Diseases), Thomas Prindiville (Gastroenterology and Hepatology).   This proposal was one of 12 selected out of a pool of 115.   Congratulations to all!
