Recent Mills laboratory alumni (and new Pontifical Catholic U of Chile assistant professor) Daniel Garrido received the Pan American Nutrition and Food Science award from Grupo Bimbo for his thesis on human nutrition "A molecular basis for the enrichment of bifidobacteria in the infant gastrointestinal tract".   Daniel will travel to Mexico to receive the award.  Way to go Daniel!!
